Automotive suction cup
Our automotive suction cups are versatile tools. They are valuable aids for installing objects, as they make it much easier to transport, handle, and adjust large and bulky objects. Automotive suction cups can only be used on materials with smooth surfaces such as glass, metals such as aluminium, or painted surfaces. Attaching a vacuum suction lifter is quick and easy. How does a vacuum suction lifter work and what is it used for?
Suction lifters always have one or more rubber suction cups. After attaching the suction lifter, for example to a glass pane, a lever is flipped for each suction cup. This removes the air from the area between the rubber and the glass. A negative pressure or vacuum is created in this area. That's why an automotive suction cup is often also called a vacuum suction lifter or vacuum lifting device. The vacuum created now gives the suction lifter a secure hold on the desired object.
Suction lifters have been a versatile tool in a wide range of applications for decades. It is possible to attach as many as needed to any point on the surface of, for example, an object to be transported. This makes horizontal or vertical transport or lifting much easier. Suction lifters are particularly popular for use with unwieldy or heavy objects. They are primarily used for transporting glass, and are therefore often referred to as glass suction lifters or glass suction cups. When used as a glass suction lifter, even larger glass panels can be transported conveniently and safely. Glass suction lifters are also used for the vertical installation of windows or, for example, aluminium panels. One of the great advantages of glass suction lifters or automotive suction cups is that the vacuum suction cups used do not damage the smooth surfaces. Once the suction cup has been removed, the surfaces (glass, aluminium or sheet metal) look as if they had never been touched.
