Insulation monitoring with external feed-in

Insulation monitoring must be used where there is no earthed alternating current system. A non-earthed system exists wherever a mobile supply, e.g. in a vehicle, is to be operated via an inverter or generator and there is no direct connection to earth. The insulation monitoring system checks several states and switches off the 230 V AC voltage in the event of a fault in order to prevent possible personal injury through contact. If an external feed is installed in the vehicle, the insulation monitoring system and switch box included in the scope of delivery are required.
