Portable small air compressors for vehicles
A small air compressor is portable and therefore also suitable for mobile use. These mini compressors are characterised by their lightweight and compact design. Their convenient size makes them easy to store in your car, so your compressor will always be close at hand. Small air compressors have many uses, especially when it comes to cars. For example, it can be used to pump up the tyres or you can use the compressor to connect to pneumatic tools that can be used for servicing or cleaning the vehicle. ProLux mini air compressors provide a sufficient supply of compressed air for all mobile applications, even without a tank. A pressure of 7 bar or 8 bar is always reached. With most small air compressors, the maximum pressure that can be obtained is 10 bar. Our range also includes a heavy-duty compressor that has a maximum pressure of 13 bar. The compressed air generated by a mini air compressor can also be used to operate pneumatic tools, such as a wheel nut wrench or polishing machine. Portable compressors are often used for a wide range of purposes. For example, the compressed air generated by the compressor can be used to easily blast away dirt. Other hoses and accessories can also be connected to a small air compressor using an adapter.
Compact air compressors from ProLux are oil-free and therefore very low maintenance. The compressors can be connected directly to the car battery or car cigarette lighter socket. These small air compressors have a sufficiently high air flow rate. Please note the air flow rate in litres per minute and the maximum pressure that the mini compressor can reach. These figures may vary from device to device. You can see the pressure reached at all times with the built-in pressure gauge in the compressor. When using pneumatic tools, a specified air flow rate and pressure in bar is required. Using an additional tank can improve the air flow. Our range also includes portable air compressors with tanks. These compressors with tanks store the generated compressed air in the air tank and can then release it as required. Despite the tank, these compressors are still classed as small compressors because they are still compact, light and portable.
Comparison of 12V and 24V compact air compressors
Air compressors generally have a voltage of 12V or 24V. Small air compressors can also be divided into these two categories. The higher voltage of a 24V compressor has the advantage that the current consumption of the compressor is considerably lower than with a 12V compressor. However, only vehicles classed as HGVs have a 24V system.

Small air compressors(13)
Air compressors are needed to produce compressed air for a variety of applications. The type of compressor that you need depends on what you intend to use it for. Both static and mobile air compressors are available. Portable air compressors, also called small air compressors or mini compressors, all fall within the category of mobile air compressors. Portable air compressors from ProLux operate with a 12V power supply. A 12 volt car battery provides sufficient power to run this type of air compressor. 24V portable air compressors are also available. Our range of portable compressors can reach a maximum pressure of 7-10 bar. They are therefore suitable for pumping up car tyres and operating pneumatic devices. Oil-free air compressors from ProLux are low-maintenance and the built-in pressure gauge shows the pressure reached in bar.
